You can get a free copy of CODE VEIN - At the cost of your own blood

No vampires required - plus it's for a good cause
Yes, you read that headline correctly... gamers can get a free copy of CODE VEIN at the cost of their own blood.
Ahead of the anime hardcore RPGs release later this week, Bandai Namco has teamed up with humanitarian organization American Red Cross to host a special event, in which people attending TwitchCon 2019 can visit their blood drive and donate blood. In exchange for your kind gesture, you'll receive a free copy of the game plus a 'promo blood kit'.
One donation is vital and could potentially save up to three lives, says the ARC's website, and someone in the USA needs blood every two seconds. Less than 38% of the US population is eligible to give blood or platelets, so donations like these are vital.
How to get a free copy of CODE VEIN
In an official tweet from Bandai Namco US Twitter page, the publisher said "The blood drive will be held on Sept. 27, Code Vein’s release date*, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in San Diego’s Gaslamp Square"
It's worth noting that all online appointments have been filled for this particular blood drive event, but if you're heading along to TwitchCon on Friday, it's worth dropping by to check if there have been any cancellations or no-shows (it's scary giving blood, we know).
Of course, if you're not at TwitchCon or would rather just buy the game instead of trading your blood for it, you can pre-order the standard edition of CODE VEIN right now on the Fanatical Store - as well as the CODE VEIN Deluxe Edition, which includes the base game, Season Pass and Insatiable Bloodthirst accessory pack.
Pre-ordering either of these editions will also get you the E Weapon Collaboration Set, Blood Veil Ogre and Accessory Set in-game bonuses.
*CODE VEIN's release date BST time is September 26th at 11pm.
