Very interesting game, very 90's retro, very intricate puzzle schemes. Lo-fi graphics is to me, a genre, and not poor development skills. Particularly if the game is being promoted as such, and the gamestyle isn't full of complexities that aren't obvious to the inherent gamestyle. I bought some older elder scrolls games a year ago, just to have the collection, but, after playing this game some, it helps me want to play older games that I remember being too graphically challenged. Like Desent, Doom, Wolfenstein, Halo, Half-Life, Elderscrolls Morrowind, Elderscrolls Oblivion. But in this case, I've downloaded Elderscrolls: Arena, Battlespire, Redguard, and Daggerfall.

Hoo boy, this game is FAST. You run fast, shoot fast, enemies come at you fast, and you die fast. Great boomer shooter with magic and melee elements. I haven't beat the game yet, but I'm planning on it. Definitely a must-buy when on sale.

Excellent run and gun shooter with a unique and fun arsenal of weapons. Great variety of enemies and levels, with a healthy challenge on higher difficulties. While there are a lot of these sorts of games coming out, none of them have the same kind of style or theme as Amid Evil, and few feel as solid to just play.
It's an easy recommend for anyone looking for a good fast paced FPS, especially if you're looking for something with a much different flavour than the kind of throwback shooters that have been coming out lately.

Amazing game! Original, fast paced, fluid combat. The map design is great. To be honest I have no idea what the story is, I'm just enjoying shooting monsters in the face. Would absolutely reccomend!
