I've been playing video games since the 80s. I've never been through a story so vividly told. This game is a logical step for games to eventually resemble a movie watching experience. At the same time, you never feel like you don't have enough choices, or story branches to unravel. Graphic wise, it was made for PS3 originally, yet it looks beyond modern day. Great cast of real life actors including Elliot Page from the Trailer Park Boys.

Pretty good, interesting pick up if on sale.

interesting game to pick up on sale. Easy to play, gameplay is mid, story is decent, but its got WILLEM DA FOE. That's about it.

Intriguing, but didn't pull me in far enough off the bat to keep going

Have to admit I didn't get very far. The idea of subjecting a little kid to the kind of experimental environment to which we subject other primates kind of turned me off, even if treated gently. BUT, I have to admit the game played very smoothly on my steamdeck, the visuals are pretty good, and the story did have me intrigued. One issue for me was that following the trail when switching rooms was somewhat difficult on the deck, but I probably need just a bit more practice. I'll probably get back to it after I finish some other titles.

If we disregard the sometimes infuriating controls on both m/k and controller (think mouse sensitivity over 9000) this is a fantastic and complex game. I'm a big fan of Detroit: Become Human from the same developer, and this game is as stunningly beautiful as Detroit is, and the story is so well written, every choice matters. A dialouge option you choose in chapter 2 can have consequences or benefits in chapter 18 for example. One can't even say much without spoiling to much. Just play it man.
