I would highly recommend this game to everyone. I bought four copies of the games to give to friends and it was a blast!
It's 'just' racing (with guns and boosts), there's a single player campaign and you can play local co-op and online.
There are three main game modes: Race (a traditional lap race), King of the Hill (Whoever stays in first the longest, wins), and Death Race. (Lap race, fighting other racers and avoiding a giant death machine. Whoever is the last to die, wins)
It really shines in multiplayer, you battle constantly and the game allows for some amazing moments to happen, due to the fast pace of the races.
Online play is almost dead, so it's easier if you play in your couch with your friends or you all get the game.
