Enter The World Of CODE VEIN
CODE VEIN is a hardcore anime RPG set in a post-apocalyptic world where skyscrapers serve as reminders of humanity’s past. This mysterious disaster has brought about the downfall of civilization and left the few remaining survivors struggling to survive, thanks to Blood Veils that grant them powerful Gifts in exchange for their memories and a thirst for blood.
Taste Blood
Players must bravely explore this hellish landscape in search of the white sparkling roots of the Blood Springs to obtain Blood Beads, which will help them quench their thirst without turning into one of the Lost — fearsome vampire-like ghouls devoid of any remaining humanity. The game puts players in control of customisable characters, allowing them to choose from three fighting code classes: Fighter, Ranger or Caster. AI companions can aid players during combat and be tailored to suit their individual playstyle needs.
Character Creation & Combat
In CODE VEIN, players create and customise their own character and then pick a fighting code class to best suit their style. Players can choose from close-quarter combat (Fighter), long-range weaponry (Ranger) or powerful magic (Caster). They are able to use Blood Veils equipped with items such as clothing that help form brutal attacks on foes. In addition, an AI companion is available throughout the journey who can provide assistance with healing actions during battles against enemies and bosses alike.
Unlock Your Past
Team up with your AI companion and embark on an epic quest through hell as you struggle to unlock your past and escape your living nightmare in CODE VEIN. As you venture further into this treacherous world, you must locate the white sparkling roots of the Blood Springs so that you can find enough Blood Beads to quench your thirst without becoming one of the Lost. Armed with powerful weapons formed from Blood Veils, only those brave enough can face off against monstrous enemies and bosses while they seek out answers hidden within the depths of hell itself.

Code Vein is a fantastic Souls Like Game. It feels very much luke Dark Souls but with Character Creation omg Elden Ring and anime style. It also has a way easier to understand story as there are voiced cutscenes. It also feels a bit easier than Dark Souls.

Quite fun; here are the deets: It's basically anime vampire dress-up fun times wrapped up in a souls-like. To start you get a pretty great character creator with an intimidating tsunami of options. You can ignore all this, but half the fun is playing dress up. You can save outfits and switch them out anytime in game. Character models are anime dream peoples. It does flirt with the lewd a bit. The story is also very anime and a little strained, but worth finishing and moderately engaging. There's just points where you go, "Really? Well, ok I guess. Let's just go for it." Your "fire keeper" is a barrel full of fan service, but the side NPCs are actually pretty decent. Gameplay is quite good. Very Souls-like with lots of weapons and such. Button mapping is closer to Nioh which took a little getting use to. It's got a real intriguing ability mapping tree thing. You unlock abilities from the various classes and then can mix and match them into all the classes. Allows for lots of experimentation and fun. Finally, this is the co-op dream. It just gives it to you easy peasy. You do have to play each level twice, similar to DS, but none of the other irritating flim flam alongside. No items, just search for help after your buddy ready ups and boom! In the game together. It's brilliant. Why don't more games just suck it up and give you co-op like Vein does. P.S. DLC is a bit dumb, but ah well. Get it all in a package and you'll be happy.
