A visually stunning platformer with a few small flaws but worth getting if on sale.

Great visuals but has some issues. It has nice little puzzles and exploration. Visuals are fantastic visuals and so is the lore. Overall game mechanics and progression are well balanced. Combat is simple and not too tiresome. Overall it's a great game. Now for the bad though. The camera is always fixed (not user controllable) and changes when transitioning to a new area reducing visibility during combat and sometimes making it difficult to see needed puzzle pieces. The game has no instructions, doesnt have a guide or tutorial to tell you what needs to be done next. Missing waypoints in some areas that make it difficult to see where to go on a huge map. NPCs speak in a made up language for the game making it difficult to know what to do. Obviously not the best game for its genre, but definitely worth checking out, Especially if its on sale.

Hob is an highly enjoyable Darksiders-Zelda hybrid, albeit one far more forgiving than either (And for the better) Fun upgrade systems and a fascinating world really round out the package.

The Legend of Hob

This game was great! I got so engrossed in the gorgeous world landscapes. The gameplay is quite similar to Zelda games. More of the map is revealed as you complete certain goals. It is original and I found it very engaging. If you are looking for a world to get engrossed in for hours this is it.

A word of warning: Acrophobes need not apply. Hob is a gorgeous (I've used F12 in this game more than any other on Steam) exploration puzzle platform game with some minor combat elements. It sets out to evoke a mood while telling a wordless story across a broken and corrupted floating landscape. It's generally a very serene experience, though some of the rare combat encounters are a little on the tougher side. There are a lot of items to explore and find, and figuring out how to get to that item you see just out of reach is a lot of fun. It reminds me a lot of the early Legend of Zelda games, especially the first one, where the story was sort of a framing device and it was more about exploring and uncovering more of the world. This was truly a unique experience, and one I feel I'll return to to find all of the secrets the world has to offer.

Adorable! Great controls, a beautiful, stylized successor to Zelda, with impactful skill trees and weapon/tool leveling. Excellent action adventure for anyone to sit and enjoy, with surprisingly lovely visuals.
