Cool game, very addictive and with interesting story. The puzzles not hard, and all secrets are not hard to find.

This game is very fun single player game. Although I managed to fall off the map a lot and found a few glitches on accident. I enjoyed the story telling part of the game. The storyline was linear and easy to follow. The music of this game is absolutely lovely!!! One thing I want to note is that it seems to be meant to play with controller, though still possible with keyboard! I will definitely be playing this game again in the future, because I loved it. Definitely worth a play in my opinion.

An amazingly constructed game that comes up short in the most crucial aspect of gameplay.

An amazing adventure with spectacular presentation that is almost entirely ruined by horribly implemented controls. I loved Hob. The world was meticulously crafted and the art style used fits it perfect. All the little touches are there. Creatures and enemies are subtly more alive than 99% of other games. It's amazing the picture they painted. The complexity of the way the world opens up and all the worthwhile back tracking is a feat worth appreciating. The way the story is told without a word is amazing. The presentation is truly stunning all around. The controls are atrocious. A negative review I read laments "half" of deaths are from falls due to the bad controls. That person had a good experience in my eyes! I set out to collect and grind with no guide as I went along in the game. Seeking out all the cleverly hidden extras makes the amount of platforming with the horrendous controls exponentially increase. I would say playing this way; NINETY NINE out of a hundred deaths, for me, were from the bad controls. Seriously. Yes, control style/quality has an element of subjectivity to it. Yes, any game's controls can be mastered no matter how bad they are. Yes, I did get better(ish) as I went along. But that does not wash away how incredibly horrible the controls are. I even resorted to using an arcade stick for a small chunk of the game which flat out actually works better than a thumbstick for directional control. But I was late game by that point and didn't want to relearn/acclimate my button combos on the arcade pad. I cannot fathom even attempting to see what the K&M controls are like. It is truly mind boggling that such a high level of creativity and meticulous care could go into the world presentation while they settle for the gameplay control they did. Gameplay is always king. The platforming ideas themselves are actually sound. The platforming, combat concepts, and exploration should all work on paper. Work really really well. This should EASILY be in many "top 10 of all time indie games" lists. But they just simply did not make it fun to wield. And it goes beyond the directional platforming stuff too. It is just downright a miss with the controls. Don't even get me started on grappling. Though I will say that the combat wasn't a challenge or obtuse for me like some other reviews mention. Maybe it was because I was grinding and exploring so I got over powered. I was easily able to be competent during fights, but the controls certainly weren't...

Very cute atmospheric puzzle game. Ran great for me, Brought to you by the same people who made Torchlight 1 & 2, sadly they were bought out and their newer games have suffered from that.

My Hob first-impression video: (https://youtu.be/RKrtKaTtVqs). Hob crashed on me once. After it crashed, the game was fine. The golem felt like the real hero in this story. It was made by the same people who made Torchlight, so that's cool.

Simple gameplay. Graphics are appropriately not high octane. Atmosphere and ambiance perfect for exploration and simple puzzles.
