Polished fighting game with lots of single player content

This must be the most polished single-player content in a fighting game I've seen along with Mortal Kombat X. + Supergirl voiced by Laura Bailey! + Batman, Catwoman and Harley on the same team! + All the iconic characters + Supergirl voiced by Laura Bailey! + TMNT are in the game! + Very-well done cutscenes - Great facial expressions, animations and story makes sense + Supergirl voiced by Laura Bailey! + Friendly to people new to fighting games + Lots of single player content, lots of customization for every character + Supergirl voiced by Laura Bailey! + Hellboy! + Don't have to touch multiplayer to enjoy the game! + Supergirl voiced by Laura Bailey! - Forced to play as Green Lantern - My favorite superhero - Wonder Woman is acting terrible and out of character, but it's because of the story in the game. Also her moveset is very uncomfortable to play with. - Master Splinter, Shredder, Bebop, Rocksteady are not in the game - Hellboy not voiced by Ron Perlman - Abraham Sapien, Liz Sherman are not in the game - The AI on higher difficulties is disgusting. It keeps jiggling you around the stage for your whole hp bar. It spams the CHEAPEST moves available that can't be blocked or dodged which are 99% of the time ranged. BRUTAL AI. - The funny part is that the most useless characters are the cheapest such as Green Lantern, Aquaman, Blue Beetle, Green Arrow. They have looong range on their melee attacks with rapid hitting combos that let the AI corner you and keep jiggling you in the corner. This forces you to use specific characters that can deal with this. Also Brainiac can take your whole hp bar with 3-4 attacks... - Once you hit 30 on a character it feels as if you are playing MMO, you have no gear to be on a fair ground against anything you try to fight. Enemies are doing more damage than you, have more hp than you and take less damage than you. They AI acts and attacks faster than you no matter how fast you press buttons or no matter how much you try to time your attacks. - Low block doesn't block anything but low attacks. This is the one and only fighting game I have seen with this mechanic. Huh? - Can't block while in the air...? - The above removes any joy from playing anything on the highest difficulty and the highest levels("endgame"). The AI is basically cheating. Especially with some modifiers in Multiverse. - MUST HAVE more choices for graphical options such as better anti-aliasing, removing film grain etc. CONSOLE PORT!? - Keeps showing xbox...

What to say but it's more Injustice. More punchy superheroes, more world ending finishers with not a scratch left, more loot boxes and more crazy modifier tower matches.

Even though the game is long gone, grinding all of the gear and learning the combos for all of these characters is still exciting and rewarding. If you want to enjoy the game just for its story, gameplay, and collectable items then this will work for you.

I'm not someone who plays much in the way of fighting games, largely cause I'm terrible at them. And far too many like to operate on the assumption that you're going to be halfway decent even within the single player modes, which again I'm not. So when the first Injustice appeared I didn't get into it, as interesting as it seemed I figured it would be no fun for me. But I eventually did get my hands on it and play some of it, and I found it was actually great fun! There's of course something to be said for the characters, it's interesting and fun to play around with a whole host of heroes and villains and the unique abilities they have, but the game itself is just well designed. And that becomes even more true with this game! Levels are interesting and varied with lots of fun interactions, and a lot of the combos and skills aren't all that difficult to get to grips with. There's still lots of more complicated moves and such for the true fighting game fans to really sink their teeth into and get good with. Injustice 2 offers a wide range of characters, tons of fun in the story mode, and a never ending rotation of single player game modes to run through once you beat the story. For someone like me who knows that going into multiplayer is a recipe for a swift defeat, this game really offers up a great chance to dig into the fighting and the characters without feeling as if I'm failing at every step. Overall the game is well made, it's responsive, it works. The moves are fun with some simpler ones and plenty of more difficult ones to pull off. The characters are varied and interesting in their own right, with each one having different fighting styles and abilities, and over all it's just a fun game that I find next to no faults with.

This is a now-standard Mortal Kombat-style fighting game, with characters from the DC universe, and the story is a continuation of the quite bold Injustice storyline where Superman is driven mad with grief by Joker's indirect murder of Lois Lane and her unborn child as well as the destruction of Metropolis. Superman then proceeds to kill the Joker, and establish dominance over the Earth so that something like that would never happen again. Of course, Batman disagrees, and forms a sort of resistance to stop him. In the heat of the battle, a new foe emerges - Brainiac. The game is BEAUTIFUL. They went for a realistic style for graphics, but it is so well done that it is a joy to watch every single crazy-eyes close-up of Superman. There are many playable characters with a few alternates for each one, for example Mr Freeze is an alternate skin for Captain Cold. The Ninja Turtles (the freaking Ninja Turtles are in this game!!!) can be switched via their weapons. You can also change the colour of your character('s clothes) using shaders, which you unlock through gameplay, although some must be bought. The stages are plentiful and they are gorgeous, and some of them even feature scene transitions to other parts of the stage. The one bad thing I've to say here (besides the occasional crash to desktop) concerns microtransactions and the dreaded God and Demon shaders. First, microtransactions are made very obvious to you right away, and within every menu since the July 2021 update. I am even advertised at for things I already own. It is ridiculous. But what is even more ridiculous is that there are two 'definitive' versions of the game, the Ultimate and Legendary editions. As far as I understand it, each withholds a piece of content from you, with only the Ultimate edition featuring what many consider the best shaders in the game, the God (shiny white and yellow) and Demon (dark red and black) shaders. I am a completionist, and I didn't really like getting gated off from content that I should have received, although I am not nearly disgruntled enough to shell out more money for only two shaders. The best thing about Injustice 2 is the equipment system. Through playing the game, you unlock pieces of equipment for one of the 5 item slots every character has. These change your character's appearance. This means that the characters' looks are modular, and you can mix and match the various pieces to make them look exactly how you want them to look! Of course, this...
