I wanna love this game because a lot of the core engine has features I love. But there are significant drawbacks; It's always online, character clothing is for some unknown reason gender locked, multiple forms of microtransactions and lootboxes, and there are so many points of just frustrating design. You have to wait to start solo offline missions, you have to wait to clear messages when you load into the lobby, you have to wait for the tutorial NPCs to stop mouth talking. The mission variety is also lackluster, I wasn't forty minutes in before progressing needed me to replay both the Save The Samurai mission and Fetching Kakashi's Ero Novel Pages mission.
I love Naruto, wasn't big on Boruto and I'll be honest, I love hearing the original English cast come back for these voices and going through some of the series's fights, I love the VR trainers, fighting and learning the styles of fan favourite characters. Like, I love the idea that I can make my own ninja and learn some wood-style jutsu, it's cool. I just wish it was attached to a better game.

A bold but cool step for the franchise, NARUTO TO BORUTO: SHINOBI STRIKER has broken down the walls of its predecessors by moving away from compact, close-quarter combat locations to give players a huge arena to run, jump and punch their way around. The customization and gathering hub for online players screams essence of DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE - and that ain't a bad thing!

Its a great ninja game. Think of this as the Zenoverse but for Naruto. Its alot of online play but you can get away from that if you choose. Only downside you cant play it on steam deck due to the anti cheat system. Hopefully in the future it gets fixed
