This beautiful, atmospheric game strikes a solid balance of difficulty in its platforming and has satisfying powerups. While not perfect (for example, you can put ability points into things that will do nothing at all for hours until you actually unlock the ability it builds from, with no indication at the time that this is the case), it is a wonderful game that I think any fan of the genre would enjoy playing.
