About Resident Evil : Revelations 2 - Deluxe Edition

About this game

Get ready to come face-to-face with pure evil in a twisted tale of intense survival horror with Resident Evil: Revelations 2 - Deluxe Edition. With this Steam key, players will experience all four chapters of the episodic RER2 series together – along with two side story episodes, the Raid Mode survival missions, and more extras than you can shake a zombie’s rotten leg at.

Kidnapped and left on a remote island, you take control of different characters – including former S.T.A.R.S. elite special forces legends Claire Redfield and Barry Burton – to fight back against your stomach-churning enemies and figure out what’s going on.

EPISODIC HORROR
Experience the horror event of the season – Each episode will feature hours of terrifying gameplay and dramatic cliffhangers to leave players eagerly anticipating the next twist in the gripping horror story.

Claire Redfield and Moira Burton star – Fan favorite Claire returns to the horrors that haunted her in the past alongside Moira Burton, daughter of Resident Evil legend Barry Burton.

EVIL IS WATCHING
Set in what appears to be an abandoned detention facility on a remote island the horror awaits players around every dark corner. Will there be a way to escape?

BRAND NEW ENEMY
Not as mindless as zombies, the scary design of the ‘Afflicted’ means they are able to move quickly and attack the player with basic weapons, making them a genuine threat to players’ survival.

GO CO-OP
Players will need to switch between the two characters to overcome the nightmares in either single-player mode with an AI partner or offline co-op mode for two players.

Great RE game from the past that holds up well in the present

Houie

Fun game. The ability to control two characters and switching them on the fly to do combos is very neat. The flashlight blind and psychic mechanics are also very unique. I didn't really like the raid mode as it felt a bit too easy and repetitive for me but perhaps others would like it if they enjoy the grind. Graphics hold well given when it was released. There are quite a few puzzles, especially in the 3rd episode, which I enjoyed.

Good gameplay, great story, nice action, nice costumes but bad pc port.

I enjoyed the gameplay, story and the DLC costumes (especially Claire's) but I hated the performance of the game. Everytime I start up and go into the game or even after I die and restart from checkpoint, the fps drops so low to the point I cannot move properly and I have to wait at least 3-5 mins before the fps returns to normal. This game is a bad PC port.

Plays like a traditional RE game

The storyline of Resident Evil Revelations 2 fits between Resident Evil 5 and 6. It plays like a traditional RE game with item boxes and extensive weapon caches although the auto save features leave a lot to be desired. You play as 2 separate teams of characters being able to control 4 characters with specialized skill sets. The game is fun to play and puzzles are moderately difficult. Graphics are great compared to the drab of RE5. Highly recommended title if you enjoy RE games.

Local co-op!

RE Revelations 2 is one of those rare under-appreciated gems that fly under everyone's radar so often. Not only does it have a well written single player narrative (YES! In a Resident Evil), but the side game Raid Mode provides endless hours of fun. Both the campaign and Raid Mode have local co-op, which is really nice in these days of online only multiplayer. Real life friends not included ;-)

Honestly had a ton of fun years ago when I first played revelations 2 but it feels so slow and not as memorable as I remember.

Good game, improvement over prequels, go for deluxe edition nowadays.

Honestly kinda skeptical of this spin-off ("spin-off") entries but not gonna lie? Both it and 1 are genuinely worth it. And 2 vastly improves within a lot of stuff that 1 did, mainly gameplay wise. Definitely go for deluxe edition though, that really is just for the best at this point tbh.

Good game. Although the graphics are a bit dated, the game still holds up fairly well. Good plot twists, decent puzzles. Overall, a game to play if you are a fan of the resident evil series.
