I'm a bit conflicted, but this might be my favorite RE game yet. I love the hub style of the village, venturing out to find clues about Rose and returning not knowing what might have changed or awaits you. It has a nice blend of action from RE4 and the survival of the original games with a game world that feels open to explore

The game itself is good but they sold third-person mode as a separate dlc. Honestly hoped it could have been free instead of having to pay extras for it

As someone who didn't become an RE until I was in my 20s, this game is amazing. There's a simple enough explanation of RE7 to where you go into Village not really needing to play the previous game. The game has scary moments but it feels more tense than outright fear. It controls well and runs great on my laptop at 1080p. I like the more supernatural elements with each of the Lords being some kind of monster vs a zombie/bioweapon. Voice acting and sound helps you really feel each moment. Also Lady D is mommy

The game is wonderful. The typical mutated villagers are great for getting into the flow and rhythm of the game from the get go, to get the blood pumping too. The chase scenes are simply superb, the boss fights are thrilling, and the Duke being the merchant makes the boss fights more worth it with his comments on boss remains
