Scorn Deluxe Edition

I've been following the company since 2018 as the visuals alone caught me. Excited when they announced they had a released date baring a tempered expectation as there an indie company and wouldn't be able to achieve as high budget as a triple AAA company could. As result i pre ordered the game in 2022 now knowing they had the release date. They presented a visualized giger-esk game that would have a moral system, and would be classified as a horror survival with 2 parts (games) where you had to choose your fights whether to fight or flight with some puzzle elements. They actually first announced it back in 2014, knowing that i'm like "wow... they must be just a few guys in a garage working on this, i admire the ambition, wanting to make such a big game with so little". Loving the idea i waited patiently to be able to emersed my self in the world and get spooked, weird and grossed out. Here we are 2022 and FINALLY released and what do we get? A sad excused of a walking simulator that is littered in boring puzzles, frustrating combat, incredibly punishing respawn points, and all tied up in a nice little bow of 3 hours of gameplay for a nice crisp 40$... 3 HOURS?!?!? REALLY???? FOURTY $#%%*& DOLLARS!!? I'm amazed, truly i am, they put 8 years of work on this and that's the best they could do? Really? Like there's companies that have done the same what you achieved for a fraction of the time and gave a WAY more memorable experience all in the 20$ range. Examples... Stray deponia Mist stanley the parable the list goes on.... Here let's break down things i liked and the things i didn't. Pro visuals - visuals are beautiful the grotesque and disturbing artwork is great, i love the style, atmosphere and all the gory art directions were taken. It pains me so much cause i don't ever see the company making an other game with this bombshell, making so... so many assets lost. Cons combat - Combat is SO damn slow... You get 4 different types of attacks, a pneumatic gun, a pistol, a shotgun and a grenade launcher. There all slow as hell to reload, attack with, and switch types of attacks. by that time the enemy got 3 hits on you, you can run, but the hit box is so delayed that you'll have ran a mile and they still hit you with a close quarter attack even if you get out of the way safely. As for the little spitters they have such a good accuracy they will always hit you unless you hide behind a wall, but be prepared to get hit at lease twice regardless of...
