The Deed series definitely has a novel idea for a game made in rpgmaker - you have limited time to commit a murder and try to get away with it. The game includes a setting where you can discuss with multiple characters, including your future victim. After "the deed" you will be questioned, and your actions during the brief time at the location will be scrutinized. By discussing with people and finding items, you can not only build yourself an alibi but also frame someone by planting false evidence to make someone more likely culprit. The game has multiple endings depending who is deemed guilty. Overall it's plenty challenging game but with enough tries you should get away with the deed. Personally I didn't find it that interesting to try to frame all of the other characters for a murder for replay value. I do applaud the idea and hope the developer can perhaps get a bigger budget and a less restrictive game engine for future implementions of this kind of game.

After not really liking Dynasty, The Deed II felt more like a return to form. Whereas Dynasty just felt like too much, The Deed II felt like an improvement on the original.
