I love the Tropico series and I honestly think this is the worst so far. Terrible campaign, no explination on game mechanics, bugs, terrible controls and subpar graphics. Much better quality buying Tropico 4 or 6 instead of 5.

A quality city builder sandbox with the communist trappings that make this series a hit.
The game's era system allows you to begin your reign during the colonial period and advance through to the modern age allows you to progress through some of modern histories important moments.
Overall the game is worth the price and will provide plenty of entertainment.

Really fun island building game. Wanted to play it for a real long time and finally got around to getting it thanks to Fanatical! Really recommend trying it out if you're into games like this.

Tropico... oh the Caribbean cliché dictator... or is it only a cliché?
having lived in the area, and having had a few dictators deciding for me.... I cannot entirely rule out that Kalypso got inspiration from the news headlines.... its fun, it does take time to get things done, but for a laugh, the catchy music (that I dont listen too on the radio as I hate it there, but love in the game....) you will guide your fellow citizens to your vision of the future.
