Decent Story, Good Voice Acting but Very Shallow Gameplay. The gameplay isas basic as it gets and since you constantly get health from dead enemies, it takes almost no skill. Overall, a decent game, just don't get it for the action gameplay.

! Good things ! This game is a good platformer with good power-ups and mechanics that even let you speedrun the game if you master them. I will not spoil anything about the story so it is hard to tell exactly what I liked but I loved the plot twist before the end boss and I also loved the ending that made me sad but also made me understand how much of the things in game are metaphors and how much things that were happening during the game were connected to what was happening underneath the game. I love that all NPCs have their lore purpose on each stage of the game and that seasons in the game have a meaning to them. This game is very atmospheric and tells a lot of the story by using the areas you are playing. It is hard to not spoil anything in a review but after you finish the game you should play it again to get to previously inaccessible places with blue padlocks. I love that even before you see the game name you can do certain things that will not let you pass the starting area and will make the starting area more creepier 2 times if you don’t do what is expected of you. After you finish the game 2 times you will probably still be confused and that is when you should google for in-depth analysis of Neversong. Reading that will make you understand more and will make you appreciate the game more and will connect the dots in your head that you subconscious made when you did play the game. You will be surprised how many things you noticed by yourself and how many things makes sense in the end after reading more about the game and peoples in-depth analysis of it. I liked the art style and sound design for this game as it was immersive and really fit the game and story presented. Storytelling and voice acting were also good. It was also easy to play this game both with a gamepad and with a keyboard and mouse. I also liked the humor and dark humor that is in this game. ! Bad things ! Settings are very limited as they consists only of music and sound and if you want to change the game language you have to change the language for your whole Steam! There is also no remapping options so you can’t change what each key does and you have to play with the default settings both with the keyboard or gamepad. The options to change the language and to remap the keys should be a standard in any game. Combat is extremely easy and most enemies are just weak so you can afford to just get close to them and button mash them to kill them and for killing them you get a...
