Super Ultrawide support!!! Yes!!!!
Finally one of the most-anticipated titles from PlayStation is coming to PC — Ghost of Tsushima! For those of us who haven’t gotten to experience this gorgeous and instead watched from the sidelines, it’s finally our time to try out the journey set in Japan during 1274. But enough of my gushing — let’s talk about what features are coming to PC!
Steam Features
Before I dive into what PlayStation is adding to improve the PC experience, I want to talk about the Steam-exclusive offer! If you link your Steam account to your PlayStation Network, you'll unlock the Charm of Canine Recruitment and the Archery Master's Attire! The former is from the Ghost of Tsushima: Legends DLC, and it will allow you to sneak up on a Mongol Dog to pet it and tame it; this will make it your ally, and you'll be able to fight and stealth with it! The latter is an outfit that you can only get in New Game+.
If you link your Steam and PlayStation Network accounts, you'll receive the following:
- Charm of Canine Recruitment.
- Archery Master's Attire.
PC Features
Now we can talk about what will be different on PC for the game. Starting with controls and customisation! For gamers worried that they'll have to play on controller, we've got great news — Ghost of Tsushima's PC version will arrive with a lot of customisation and control (hah, get it?) over how you experience the story! Whether you want to play with the DualSense's immersive haptic feedback and adaptive trigger or you want to go through the journey on your trusty mouse and keyboard is up to you!
And if immersion is what you're looking for, then there's also good news for the Super Ultrawide folks (like me!) who can't imagine playing through the gorgeous landscapes on anything less. Whether you're a 21:9-, 32:9-, or 48:9-owner, the game will offer support.
But the screen wouldn't matter much if the graphics and framerates were struggling, which is why all of us, no matter what screen, can now celebrate the optimised graphics! Whether you're playing on a high-end PC or a portable PC device (such as the Steam Deck or ROG Ally), Ghost of Tsushima offers tons of options to control the graphics, including the ability to unlock framerates! This also includes NVIDIA DLSS 3, AMD FSR 3, Intel XeSS, NVIDIA Reflex, and even DLAA.
All in all, it seems like PlayStation's bringing Ghost of Tsushima with all the effort and love that we'd hoped; now we just have to wait for the 16th of May!
