A FOCUS ON AIRBORNE ASSAULT AND HEROIC DEFENSE
Literally dropped into the Second World War by parachute, your forces will need to very quickly adapt to extremely chaotic situations to quickly gain control of key positions deep behind enemy lines. Only superior tactics and deploying the best equipment will then allow your forces to hold on to the ground they have gained in the face of unrelenting Axis counterattacks.
A MIND FOR HISTORY INFUSED GAMEPLAY FROM START TO END
Unlike many divisions of its time, the 82nd was not drawn from a single region, state, or background; it was a true cross-section of the United States itself. Men from every corner of the nation filled its ranks: city and countryside, north and south, east and west, all united under one patch. This unique composition earned them the proud title of the “All American” Division, a name that reflected not just where they came from, but what they represented. In the 82nd Airborne, Americans did not fight as fragments, they fought as one. Each man carrying the strength and determination of an entire nation into every battle they faced.
A STRONG MIX OF CLASSIC AND ADVANCED GAMEPLAY
This 82nd Airborne campaign continues the Elite Series tradition of focusing primarily on the roots of Panzer Corps with a strong presence of main objectives focused on taking ground from your enemies. To bring a new flavor of combat to the Elite series, the 82nd Airborne campaign will have its primary focus placed on close quarters infantry combat, a marked departure from the Tank and Panzer heavy combat of the Ghost Division and 1st Guards campaigns.
For those players looking for even more, 82nd Airborne offers a host of optional bonus and special objectives to pursue that really ramp up the challenge while also bestowing the fantastic reward of offering customizable heroes.
