Looking light a watercolour painting come to life, Card Shark is an adventure game full of cunning, intrigue, and deceit. You’ll need to be able to play cards, as well as your opponents, in order to win.
It’s 18th-century France and you’ve good at two things — cards games and cheating at them. Some of your tricks include marking cards, deck switching, hidden mirrors, false shuffles, and more so use them to win! It’s the only way you’re going to buy your way into the high-stakes tables, and the upper echelons of French society!
It’s all fun and games until someone is caught, and as you edge your way to the King’s table the punishment is sure to take your breath away. After all, no gambler likes a cheater, so don’t lose your head!
Suiting the 18th-century backdrop are the arrangements composed by Andrea Boccadoro and a live orchestra. With both original and rearranged period pieces to set the mood, you can almost lose yourself in the ornate visual artwork of Nicolai Troshinsky as you explore the small towns of France.
