If you're a fan of Piranha Bytes and their Gothic and Risen franchises, you probably know what to expect gameplay-wise. It has all the patterns you saw in previous titles - 3 factions, hard combat, and the exhilaration when you finally beat that one boss that made a pancake of you every time...
That said, I think it's the best PB game to date. SF RPGs aren't as common as fantasy RPGs (and only contemporary RPGs are rarer) and Elex is among the best - shoulder to shoulder with Mass Effect and Fallout series. While it doesn't have the budget of its wealthy siblings, its visuals, story and atmosphere will win the hearts of every true RPG fan. And, yeah, as I said, it's a hard game - but I didn't see people complaining about Souls games as being hard.

Good graphics, but you CAN'T change certain key functions. I use mouse2 to move forward, but some bright individual (sarcasm intended) decided that you can't modify one of the common alternate key configurations. If I didn't know better, I'd think that someone had their nose out of joint, and wanted to leave THEIR mark on the game. I regret that I bought the game, since I can't modify the keyboard like I want.
To the publishers of the game, how about a patch that will allow the keyboard to be reassigned as needed?
