Elite Dangerous is the definitive massively multiplayer space epic, bringing gaming’s original open-world adventure to the modern generation with a connected galaxy, evolving narrative and the entirety of the Milky Way recreated at its full galactic proportions. And, for the first time, in Elite Dangerous: Odyssey you’ll experience what it’s like to disembark your ship, taking on new missions and exploring settlements and planets on foot.

Starting with only a small starship and a few credits, players do whatever it takes to earn the skill, knowledge, wealth and power to survive in a futuristic cutthroat galaxy and to stand among the ranks of the iconic Elite. In an age of galactic superpowers and interstellar war, every player’s story influences the unique connected gaming experience and handcrafted evolving narrative. Governments fall, battles are lost and won, and humanity’s frontier is reshaped, all by players’ actions.

"A colossal space sim that offers an invigorating amount of freedom. It’s just a shame the multiplayer aspect is so half-baked at the moment."

"Elite: Dangerous is not yet where it wants to be. But it knows the way and is going there with pace. For now, I couldn't think of a better place to be than its passenger seat."

***STOP. BEFORE YOU BUY THIS GAME READ BELOW*** The only way the game works through Steam is after you create your Frontier Dev account and link it to your steam account, you submit a support ticket to Frontier Dev and someone manually adds your account to the game. This has been a known issue for months and months but nothing has been done about it. I have created a support ticket but nothing has been resolved or answered. Forget about this game. If they entice new players with a low price and then refuse to let them log in, I can only imagine the state of it when you actually start playing. I'll change the review if this gets resolved but as it stands, this is how it is.
