- Hearts of Iron IV base game: Play any nation on earth in the lead up to WW2, directing its research, industrial production, political fate and military operations. Includes the Together for Victory, Waking the Tiger, and Death or Dishonor expansions, formerly sold separately.

I think this is good game. It represents the era well. Definitely. But, it is difficult for beginners to get into and has an unfriendly UI, so it is not suitable for me.

This game is so cool! It has got a rediculously steep learning curve (which I am still working on) but it is definitely worth it. It is like risk on steroids with an infinite possiblity of strategies. There are so many different ways you can go about it.
One critique that I do have is the tutorial. The game's mechanics are so in depth and their tutorial is not very clear. I would reccommend finding a youtube video series and just watching those instead.
