Mafia: Definitive Edition is a brand new remake of the classic mobster game that tells the story of Maranzano's assassination and the power struggle that followed. An Innocent Cab Driver
Set in 1930, in the midst of the Great Depression, take control of an impoverished cab driver as he is unwittingly forced to commit a crime by two members of the Salieri crime family. As recompense, he is offered a position in the Don Salieri organisation, an offer he refuses but is later forced to accept after being attacked by two Morello gangsters in an act of revenge.

Venture into a carefully redesigned open world of the original game, as you'll embark on quests throughout Lost Heaven, the bustling city full of things to explore and missions to complete!
Cinematic Story mode
Mafia: Definitive Edition also includes a brand new cinematic story mode that expands on Tommy's journey. The mode features new voice acting, cutscenes, and missions. Additionally, players can choose to play through the game's original campaign or its new definitive edition campaign!

The story in this game is incredible and it was thoroughly compelling throughout. The gameplay is relatively standard third-person cover shooting fare, but that's not a bad thing. It's highly enjoyable and the controls are responsive.
Fair warning that the race at mission 5 is very annoying especially if you play with simulation mode enabled like I did. It took me around an hour of replaying it before I got past it. Don't let that stop you because you'd really be missing out.

This Remastered version is best of the triology with massive upgrades from ground impressive level of details and story is quite good too the character arc of tommy is quite powerful and felt shaken to his core really loved playing this would recommend to play

This game tries to juggle between telling a good story and offering fun gameplay. Unfortunately, it struggles with both and ends up being mostly mediocre. The main character's personality is like Morse code, and it doesn't help that the other characters' personalities never change much. The story lacks emotion, drama, or even comedy. The gameplay is mixed. The cars are quite fun to drive, shooting is passable but hand-to-hand combat is a clunky mess. You're given a large open city to explore but nothing is interactive, so it's like walking through a detailed model. Also, this game has a number of small but annoying audio & visual bugs. A lot of things in the game lack polish.
Had the developers brought a more charismatic writer on board and put more effort into the combat mechanics, then this game would've been an easy 4.5/5.
