Many years after vanquishing Slick on the school rooftop, Alex and Ryan must take to the streets again. Help a new crop of fighters defeat the hordes of River City, and clear their name in a sinister kidnapping plot. This modern take on an old classic features over 500 unique street fighting moves, dozens of weapons, secrets galore, and a bonus arena fighting mode.

Call me nostalgic, but when I saw they brought this game back, I jumped at the opportunity. I Played the hell out of the original and RCR EX when it came out on GBA. It's nice to see Ryan and Alex kicking ass again, old as balls. It stays true to the old school beatem ups from the 80s and 90s. All you youngins take note. These games are awesome and you should appreciate the classics because without them, there wouldn't be a new CoDoody to buy every 8 months. The rebranded garbage these companies put out, might have a loyal brainwashed following who will happily open their wallets to buy the same game over and over and over again, or compel their parents to do the same. They always release those games and the other gems never get to see the spotlight. Never be afraid to venture out and explore new things. Or in this case, something that's been made new, not just repackaged.

A casual beat-em up based on the original NES game with lots of modern features with the help of Steam. There are a large number of characters, upgrades, and up to 4-player co-op. It's not very fast paced and there's some grind but overall the game doesn't require too much focus and be played with something in the background. There are some bugs but overall a decent experience. Would be fun if you don't have anything to do and want a casual time waster with a friend. Similar to the Scott Pilgrim beat-em up game but an NES graphic choice and a more traditional soundtrack/styling based on stereotypical anime delinquent tropes.
