Sonic is back!!

I got a Sega Genesis when I was about 10 and have many fond memories of playing Sonic games. I finally bought this on a great sale here and booted it up on my steam deck!! Initially the resolution was not good, but I ended up running it via desktop mode and that fixed it!! Once in game I heard the Angel Island theme and I was 10 again, would definitely recommend as they blended aspects from Zelda, Mario, and soulslike games as well.

"Sonic - Breath Of The Hedgehog" works surprisingly well. Exploration is fun and boss fights are engaging. If only there were less object pop-in and tighter controls (especially during huge enemy boss fights you're flung around for no apparent reason sometimes). SEGA did well.

Honestly one of my favourite Sonic titles. OST is full of bangers, gameplay was a blast and I didn't hate 100%ing this. Do recommend any fan to play this although it is different. Good starting point for the future of Sonic.

Great game, if a little repetitive. I'm not a big fan of the menus, and you will definitely want a controller for this one. Keyboard control is wonky, at best. What it adds to the Sonic franchise is a new spin on older mechanics, with few all new additions to the formula. The open world is a little sparse, But I feel that the new combat abilities are a breathe of fresh air for the series. Beyond the flaws, it's a fun game with a pretty decent story, especially for Sonic fans.

To be honest Sonic Frontiers is one of the best or maybe even best sonic game by my opinion. I already played through the game twice on PS5 and got platinum trophy :D but i really wanted to try mods so i decided to buy it again but now on PC so i bought it from here at it was pretty much flawless. So... do i reccomend this game for everyone? i would not say so, but if you´re okay with some popping, not much bugs and minor flaws and are into sonic series then i guess you will probably like this game.

The game was a lot of fun but a little empty. It's definitely something to try out and play around with. Would recommend waiting for a sale but I don't regret my purchase at all
