This game does a great job of getting you to give a crap about the story without drowning you in it. You are thrust into a classic demonic invasion storyline, and your adventure gets stranger from there.
High quality writing also helps keep me engaged, especially between acts where I often lose focus on CRPGs.
Not without bugs, but the devs have been doing good work there. For a company's 2nd product this feels like an honest effort to deliver a quality experience.

This game brings life to the Pathfinder tabletop RPG with it's awesome hybrid real-time/turn-based combat. I love the gorgeous art with it's charming and colorful landscapes. If you are a pathfinder or dnd fan, I'm sure you will enjoy this game as much as I do.

Its an unpolished gem.
Its a great CRPG game with a lot of ambition, and perhaps one of the best content for awhile.
Sadly the bugs and performance can be quite detrimental to the experience. I haven't finished it due to that. But every single minute that I had with the game while it ran well and without bugs, was stellar. That's the only reason its one star less.

It's been a while since I've enjoyed an RPG as much as this one. It starts in the middle of an apocalypse and then just tosses you into the deep end and tells you to figure it out. From then it's up to you. There's a crazy amount of character customization in terms of classes and stats so you can fine-tune your character how you want it and then you get a cast of misfits for your party with each of them being interesting in their own right.
You can tell an RPG did well if I want to bring all of them to my adventures. The whole thing reminds me of Hordes of the Underdark and how quickly that went from 0 to holy bloody hell, how did we get *HERE*.
So, should you play it? Yes, if you love RPGs and got experience. Maybe, if you're a newcomer, the game can be brutal despite difficulty settings. No, if you're impatient. There's a looooot of text and a looooot of battle to go around.

As a fan of the Pathfinder Kingmaker I thought I would give this game a shot. It took what I loved about Pathfinder Kingmaker and expanded on that while changing the Castle Sim mechanic I wasn't thrilled about into something a bit more enjoyable to me the Crusade mode. I have been loving every minute of this game, if you enjoy Pathfinder Kingmaker or Tabletop you will enjoy this game.
