Your Choices Affect the Story

Approach the corporate-driven Halcyon System your way and affect the way the story unfolds. Your choices will affect numerous aspects of your time in The Outer Worlds, including which characters join you and the story development, but your companions, end-game scenarios, and even character build!

Perfectly Flawed

Take control of The Stranger, a character that starts off fine in nature but slowly grows flawed as The Outer World tracks your experiences... and what you aren't good at doing. Get a flaw from an assortment of 14 according to your playstyle — such as Plasma Weakness, Herpetophobia, Paranoid, Robophobia, and more — but also get a perk point to help you progress your build. This is an entirely optional system, however, so you can reject all forms of phobias that you'll unlock.

Assemble a Crew

Meet several characters as you explore the Halcyon System, each with their own personalities, abilities, and even missions! Embark on quests to see their motivations come to a completion and help them achieve their goals!

Embark on a Journey Across Halcyon

Explore numerous key areas in Halcyon, the colony at the edge of the galaxy owned by the Halcyon Holdings Corporate Board. Find your ship, assemble a crew, and go on an adventure across numerous settlements, space stations, and numerous other locations scattered throughout this massive world!
