Doom 3 is both a fantastic game and a bad one in certain points. It's definitely a game where you get scared from time to time being ambushed by your enemies, but after a while you feel that both the limitations of the environment and level design makes the whole experience less exciting than expected. The game was launched around the same time as Half life 2 which had way more open environments and made it more appealing. But the expansions of the game actually added part of that experience to doom as well and you got a better feeling around how objects where handled making the game and the expansions actually way better. This is a good game, put it togheter with the other 2 oldies of the series and you get a lot of good playtime ( which are included in the DOOM 3 : BFG edition. There's also quite a few "nice" things to discover and I definitely advise to play the arcade ingame for some fun and points ,-)

Great classic game, missing the fast paced action, but adds the darker more scary atmosphere.

Good spin on the original Doom series if you like horror and slower pace FPS

I'm an action FPS with a dash of horror fan, so this version of Doom is enjoyable. If you like classic Doom/Doom 2016, you'll probably not like it. It's so different it feels a lot like a separate horror franchaise that someone did a Doom mod. Overall, had a blast.

Pros + Gunplay is amazing + Guns are great + Rushing with shotgun + Interesting lore + Actually scary + Sound is great + Great ability unlocked late game + RoE Expansion includes great ability + Doom 1 and 2 included, feels like a Doom collection + Sentry bots + BFG Cons - All levels look quite similar, might get bored quick - Repetitive - Spiders D: - With VSync off I had micro stuttering issues,

Personally, Doom 3 is up there for me, alongside 2016 and Eternal, as the best Doom game. It’s upped the horror value of the other entries and doesn’t feel dated. First time I ever played it was about 2 years ago and was left very fulfilled by the experience, on my seat and tense in numerous moments. Would highly recommend.

Oft misunderstood shooter, but a great one on it's own merits. It may not be your 90s Doom but it can still hold it's own if you judge it on it's own merits!

While a massive departure from the core DOOM gameplay, this game stands on its own as a product of it's time.
