Yep! It took Bandai almost 30 years to figure it out a DBZ beat'em up videogame and they finally delivered! Not only a great DBZ game but a great beat'em up also. Well done, Bandai...well done.

I'm really not used to playing fighting games, but I enjoy my time with Dragonball FighterZ. The basics are pretty easy to grasp, but it looks like there is plenty to learn and master. The story is... well, not great. I finished the first one and started the second one, and it's very repetitive and not engaging at all. Also, the board on which you need to travel is mostly a gimmick and I think it would have been better to remove it. But those are small complaints.

An impressive anime arcade fighter with a good roster(including the dlc's in this pack) that's lots of fun to play offline but even better online. Auto-combos also make this game easier for beginners to get into and manual combos are learnt along the way. Overall, I would suggest this to anyone thinking about buying something in the genre.

This game is worth the hype.

The game looks and feels amazing. I haven't had the time to try any online/multiplayer features yet, but after watching so many hours of content about this game, it still managed to live up to expectations.

An easy to learn, hard to master treat for DB fans

As an absolute novice to fighting games, I must say that getting into Dragon Ball FighterZ has been a delight. The combo system is easy to follow and simple enough for even a noob to get the hang of it while providing some real depth for those who want to master the finer details. The 3v3 nature of the gameplay, however, may prove a little overwhelming to those not used to similar tag-based fighting games, forcing you to learn three different characters and general teambuilding dos and don'ts. Ultimately, the DBFZ makes it easy for you and you'll appreciate the added complexity down the line. Speaking of characters, the base roster of the game is good as is, ranging from the mandatory Goku and the Z-Fighterz (yes, including Yamcha and Tien) to the villainous Frieza, Cell or Buu. The FighterZ Edition does come with the first FighterZ Pass DLC which further expands the lineup with Base Goku and Vegeta, Bardock, Broly (DBZ), Cooler, Android 17, SSB Vegito and Fused Zamasu. Personally, I've been having a blast playing around with the absolute unit that is Broly! All in all, Dragon Ball FighterZ is a beginner-friendly experience that rewards true fans of the Dragon Ball series that stick through it's later stages of learning with a faithful and enjoyable take on the show's legendary battles.

Dragon Ball FighterZ - FighterZ Edition Review

Staff Review
With Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama on board, players will experience a truly awesome story and playstyle that pays homage to the popular franchise. The combat system and button configuration is simple enough for newcomers to jump in, but not too basic to put off hardcore fighters. If you're going to play a new arcade-style fighting game on PC this year - this is the one for you.
