I've played this game for days now and it is as I expected...a challenge. If you know this genre you know what it's about to happen and so you don't get to complain about the difficulty level. Everything is really great and the only downside I've got is that it won't use the GPU unless explicitly told so, that's annoying and cost me a couple of restarts.

You die a lot, you improve a lot. With each death you better learn the timings of enemy attacks, a nice open world evolution to the Dark souls series. I did suffer from stutters though so if that thing bothers you keep that in mind.

This game is awesome, I was worried about the hype but it proved to be correct. I have only played with Bloodborne before, not any of the Dark Souls game, and I prefer the aesthetics of Elden Ring so far - mechanically they are really similar, Elden Ring feels a lot easier. I have spent 31 hours with it so far, finished the first area and had a huge amount of fun. Creative enemies, great athmosphere, awesome gameplay.Definitely recommended.

Elden Ring. Elden... Ring! It's finally mine and I am loving it!
This game is basically Dark Souls 4 - open world edition. It has a few more options and bits of information for new players, but it's still a Souls game at heart. This means it can be pretty brutal at times. Difficult bosses, permamently losing your runes (souls) if you die without retrieving your runes etc... But also has all the things you love from the previous games. Difficult bosses, tense situations when you're exploring new locations, the thrill of defeating a difficult encounter. All that jazz.
The game looks amazing, the game sounds amazing... It plays like a dream. I absolutely love it and would recommend everyone to buy this game if they enjoyed previous Dark Souls games.
