About Florence

About this game

Developed by Mountains and published by Annapurna Interactive.

Florence tells the story of a young woman named Florence Yeoh, who is trying to find her way in life. Through a series of beautiful hand-drawn scenes, players must help her navigate her relationships, make choices, and find her place in the world. It's a short but charming and heartfelt experience.

Then one day...

Feeling like her life is stuck in a never-ending cycle of work, social media, and sleep, Florence begins feeling a bit stuck. Then one faithful day, she meets Krish — a cello player who waltzes into her life and changes the way she sees everything.

Slice of life

Watch their relationship grow as it flows through the motions: they'll flirt, fight, grow together, and grow apart — Florence aims to be intimate, raw, and personal, as it takes much inspiration from slice-of-life graphic novels and webcomics.

I really enjoyed this game. The story is very cute, the drawings are fantastic and the music is excellent. The gameplay mechanics are pretty basic but they are fun and implemented well. I completed the game in about 50 minutes.

I am absolutely loving this visual novel. It is interactive instead of just turning pages. Very cute story and fun mini games.

I liked Florence, it's less than an hour to play through but tells a rather sweet little story. There's not a whole lot of gameplay, but the way the gameplay elements become more and less complex as the central relationship progresses is quite affecting as a storytelling tool. It's more a graphic novel than a game, the story is told wordlessly but clearly, and the art, animation, and music are all very apropos and charming

Beautiful game. Wonderfully told story. Short but sweet. Gameplay itself is basic but the point isn't to be challenging. The games are clever that they often seem tied to the emotions of the character. It creates a level of immersion that justifies this being an interactive experience and not just a comic/animation. Wonderful experience.
