Gloomhaven is an adaptation of the original board game by Isaac Childres. Set in a medieval dark fantasy universe, you'll battle through foes in tactical RPG combat, plan strategies, and problem-solve your way to victory.
Lead the way into adventure
Journey off into dangerous dungeons and dreadful forests and caves to loot the rewards and complete quests... or die trying.
Where is your morality?
Many are out to hire you — from city officials to very corrupt cultists. It's up to you to decide where you'll draw the line and to who you'll offer your services. There are a total of 95 story missions; will you remain moral through it all?
Many combinations
With 17 unique characters, each with their unique skills and over 1,000 abilities to master, you'll have plenty of mixing and matching to do in your 2 to 4 band of mercenaries.
Level up!
If all those skills and characters aren't enough, you'll also have enhancements and perks in addition to the level-ups and newly-acquired equipment!

Really enjoying this game. Taking away the fiddly setup of the boardgames makes it an addictive, engrossing experience. It's very difficult, to begin with and in its moments, however this is mitigated by the ability to restart quests, restart rounds, changing your strategies and plans. Graphics are excellent on my M1 MacBook Air, though I have turned them down to the lowest option (where they're still good) as it was slowing down a little when the map was full of enemies. Voice narration is nice, and the UIs and menus are slick and logically executed. Absolutely great port of a legendary game.

The purchase was easy and great!!!! Always get good deals from fanatical. Gloomhaven is a game that is unforgiving and difficult even on it's easiest mode. If this is your first digital board game be warned maybe try something else if you are wanting a board game experience first. But as always love the game in both forms.

It's a very good board to video game adaptation. The game can be played with 2-4 players (enemies scale), either with friends or you controlling the other players yourself. This game can can be brutally hard, so it is encouraged to take things slow and weigh your choices carefully. RNG does play a significant part but not as punishing as For the King I'd say. Keep in mind this is a very long game, and very difficult so if that's not your thing then avoid this.
