The game ITSELF (graphics / design / gameplay / etc.) is fantastic. Having played it extensively on my PS4 Pro (which is capped at 30 FPS), I was excited to buy and play the PC version (since I have an RTX 2080ti that can max many, MANY other AAA games that are just as demanding, if not MORE demanding than this game, in terms of recommended specs).
However, I can't recommend this version of the game, because this PC port is ABYSMAL, causing graphical stuttering even on low settings at 1080p. Even my PS4 Pro version gives smoother framerates, which is downright absurd. After scouring forums / reddit threads / etc., it's been determined that the problem has nothing to do with PC specs, but rather the game's draconian "DENUVO" DRM.
It's truly bizarre, because the actual FPS counter in-game will read well over 60FPS, but the on-screen stuttering still occurs as you scroll the camera around (and this is happening even with users on bleeding-edge PC hardware FAR exceeding my own specs). I'm so sick of actual paying customers getting punished because of internet thieves. I basically wasted my money, since I'm better off just sticking with the PS4 version at this point.
If they'll remove the DENUVO DRM, I'll gladly update this review. But, until that day (which may never come), I can't recommend this port to anyone, no matter how great their gaming hardware is.
