The better version

It's good, only issue are the cinematic being locked at 30 fps, otherwise it feel a lot more fluid than the switch version.

The most acessible entrie to the series, with lots of QoL improvements. With lots of monsters and weapons variety, you will have 100hs of content to play.

Good Monster Hunter game. It has lots of weapons and armours, no slapping a feather on an iron sword and calling it a day (Looking at you MHW). There's a new mechanic in the form of "wire bugs" which are basically just grappling hooks that don't need to attach to anything, so it adds a nice layer of traversal/stratagy. Other new additions worth mentioning are the silk bind attacks, each weapon gets special actions that use the wire bugs, usually for devastating attacks, and the new Palamute partners, dog buddies that you can ride to get around faster and will fight along side of you and your Palico (cat buddy) both the Palico and Palamute are both highly customizable . Also the new quest type "rampage quests" that are tower defense style quests where you need to stop a bunch of monsters breaking through your main gate by placing ballistas and cannons among other neat things is a nice addition to normal quests. MHR also has a good amount of monsters, not great but good, with more coming in the new DLC that will fix my gripes with this game. - Difficulty, game is pretty easy, so I hope DLC fixes that - No master rank which is getting added with the DLC I like this one better than monster hunter world but I think those who played MHW as their first MH game might not feel the same but if you can handle the downgrade in graphics and story (yes the story is worse here somehow) I think most people will enjoy this one especially if you can grab it on sale! 4 1/2* out of 5

¡Even more fun to play than MH World!

So far I'm loving this game, I loved MH World and spent 1000+ hours into the game, with MH RISE I'd expect to do it as well because is even more fun to play. Don't get me wrong, it has its issues and sure is not perfect, it is a console port after all, but I highly recommended it.

fast-paced Monster Hunter action

Incredibly fast paced compared to World, taking only a maximum of 10 minutes to get into the core game, lack of long loading times and updated mechanics.

The game is very good! Having played previous Monster Hunter's games this is on par with World as one of their best. Combat and new abilities with your weapons makes it very interesting and having a mount and wire bug to traverse the map makes it much faster to farm plant and ores and to keep track of your prey. The only complaint I got with Rise is the multiplayer isn't the same as World. Lobby are now back to 4, while it was 16 in World, so making to find another lobby if everyone can be annoying at times.

I think it was a great game despite the launch hiccups I say this with around 50 hours put into it now, I think its a wonderful port. It is a bit easier than world but its mobility is a ton of fun all round great purchase.
