"Monster Sanctuary is a Pokémon game smashed together with pixel-art, JRPGs, and Metroidvanias. If that's not a recipe for an indie game hit, then I don't know what is."

"Monster Sanctuary merges a complex turn-based combat RPG we are used to see in big JRPG productions with metroidvania-style exploration and succeeds in both genres. Pixel...

I'm only about 5 hours into the game so far but I'm having a blast. The game is definitely a cross between early final fantasy and Pokemon. So far the monsters have been fun to play and their designs have all been cool. Looking forward to diving into everything more!

The best team-builder RPG ever made outside of Japan. Flawless on Deck.

A team-building RPG in the body of a metroidvania. Mechanics are somehow both incredibly wide AND deep. Performs perfectly (as you'd expect) on Steam Deck. Great visuals and tunes that feel like they came out of the best of the SNES era.

Pretty nice game, good mix of turn based RPG and monster catching. Kinda get hard at some point too.

10/10, love the game. Didn't think I'd be that immersed, but it hooks a player as soon as they start it up.

I really like this game due to the fact that it runs on almost all my pcs regardless of specs, since it's a low profile 2d game. The platforming is not my favorite, but I really like the monster catching and raising aspect. Each monster gets thier own skill trees and equipment slots, so you can make different builds depending on how you want to build your team.
