Payday 3 is a great successor to Payday 2. Shooting is fun, heists are fun and their design is also beautiful. Every main aspect of Payday 2 like shooting, customization of guns, stealth or loud approach to heists, gadgets, hostages, etc., has improved. The graphics are nothing special compared to the predecessor but in my opinion, nothing to be ashamed of (but I personally do not play this game for graphics). But there is one huge issue currently with the game which at the time of writing has landed the game a 33% positive reviews on Steam. It is the matchmaking system. At the time of writing this review, I have played for 10 hours. But at least 3 of those 10 hours is me and my friends either trying to get the game going (it would not let us into the game) or were stuck in matchmaking and I kid you not for 60 minutes straight even though we had full party of 4 people. the negative reviews and even positive ones are complaining about this. Some days it just is not playeable. Unlike in payday 2 youi cannot play offline so it does not matter if you are alone or in a party you will wait as everybody else (/if you have the luck of logging into the game).
Thus, even though the game is fun and amazing with a group of friends it has a big problem with its matchmaking system. That said that is the only negative thing I can say about this game. Maybe the soundrtack at least for me is a bit weaker compared with Payday 2 but I am sure that will change when new content will pour in. I am recommending this game but wait for some time till they fix the martchmaking issues and even though they are horrible i am still giving this game a 4 out of 5 since this is something that can be fixed and withouth it the game will be amazing.

The game had a very rough launch(ongoing), but I managed to play all the heists it has to offer. As of now, my conclusion is that the game is fun and innovative compared to its predecessor. However, it lacks some essential features like lobbies, chat, offline play and etc, which are significant drawbacks. On the bright side, when the servers and matchmaking are working properly, the game runs smoothly, and the graphics are amazing.
To be honest, I would recommend waiting a bit longer before suggesting it to anyone, as the current situation leaves a sour aftertaste.
I would also re-do the review if anything changes.
