There are some installments in the Civilization franchise that can be revisited again and again over the years and decades and always feel like the same wonderful game (the original Colonization, Civilization III, Call to Power). Unfortunately, while V is a good member of the franchise, returning to it always feels like playing a beta of VI. Unlike so many other other installments, it feel like it was a stepping stone to its younger sibling, with so many of the mechanics being earlier versions of those in VI and so little that is uniquely V.

I like to play as an old man and live for over 4000 years, then I kill with tactical nuke my best friend of whole life. I will always remember you, George Washington.

This is a great game. I never played the previous ones and was told by a friend that I should try it. I am really glad I did. The games take a while to play but since you can save progress it is not an issue. Very good game though.
