About System Shock

About this game

It’s finally here, System Shock is the remake of the 1994 classic from developer Nightdive Studios.

A Full Remake

System Shock is a full remake of the influential 1994 game, boasting completely new HD visuals, updated controls, an overhauled user interface and fresh audio. It features one of gaming's most iconic villains — the self-aware SHODAN — who has seized control of Citadel Station and plans to do the same to Earth. Players must explore and battle through the depths of space in order to stop SHODAN from destroying humanity.

Take On A Self-Aware AI

The game offers players a vast array of unique features designed to immerse them into a thrilling struggle for survival. Features include intense combat with various enemies, an innovative art style that marries retro future design with modern technology, and non-linear story progression. Players will also be able to improve their skills as they progress and make use of cyberspace hacking capabilities in order to open further routes. Finally, gamers can use a variety of means — such as shooting, brawling, crawling, climbing or leaping — in order to traverse Citadel Station and complete objectives.

Save Humanity

Ultimately, System Shock presents players with an unforgettable experience as they battle for survival against an all-powerful AI gone mad. With its combination of revolutionary gameplay mechanics and jaw-dropping visuals, this remake is sure to captivate fans both old and new alike as they explore the depths of space aboard Citadel Station in pursuit of their ultimate goal — terminating SHODAN before it's too late for humanity.

"Although it can take some time to sink its hooks in, System Shock it is a fun, challenging, and occasionally spooky experience that's worth putting time into. Solving puzzles...

"A visually stunning but too faithful recreation of a cult classic held back by its dedication to the source material."
