With mods, it might be the best game of all-time

It's Skyrim, what else is there to say? But in all honesty, the base game is lacking for VR. It is the same great game, but with no motion controls and limited options when playing it without mods. However, with mods, it is probably the greatest game ever made. I highly recommend the FUS modlist from Cangar to get started. Absolute masterclass

If you haven't already played and modded the original version of Skyrim and are jumping straight into this, you're crazy. With that being said, this game does need mods to run at its full potential, so unless you have the patience to go through the trouble of modding it, I wouldn't pick this up. And even if you DID have the patience to do so but don't already have the original, you'd probably get a more enjoyable experience modding the original instead or opting for something such as Blade and Sorcery

I really don’t know how to thank the modders that made this game an absolute gem and probably THE BEST VR game currently out there. If there were no mods out there, I would not recommend it because the VR port in the vanilla version is extremely lazy, but I have to recommend this game because if you’re not playing it, you’re missing out!

Skyrim has been my favourite game of all time for many years now, since its original release when I played it on the ps3. I have bought it many times after that on consoles as well as on pc multiple times. I have been waiting to try out Skyrim vr for the longest time and I finally got my hands on a vr headset so that I could play it. The game is not a good vr game by itself as Bethesda just made it a cheap port however once you get to modding it which is quite easy to do it becomes another timeless classic and can compete with most vr games. Being able to explore the world of Skyrim that i love dearly but in vr enhances the experience hugely, truly feels like I'm there

Skyrim is one of the best rpg games ever made and now you can experience it in vr. The game is not perfect out of the box and needs a bit of modding to add basic but very important functionality. Otherwise the world feels totally different in vr compared to flatscreen and it is amazing.

I think I'm only just echoing what others have said. Skyrim VR is solid, as are most things by Bethesda, but it's better with mods. Graphics are beautiful, and it's fun.

It's a completely different experience to explore Skyrim in VR. You take the time to notice and interact with things more, and things take more physical energy to do compared to a keyboard and mouse. It does need mods though but once you get them setup it's perfect. Highly recommended!
