About Vampyr

About this game

Quench your thirst as a newly-formed vampire and venture through 1900s England in the action RPG Vampyr. With this Steam key, you’ll control Dr. Jonathan Reid, desperate to find a cure to save the city’s flu-ravaged citizens. But due to your new form, you are cursed to feed on those you vowed to heal.

EMBRACE YOUR POWERS

The life of a Vampyr is not easy as the Guard of Priwen’s slayers, undead Skals, and other supernatural creatures lurk in the darkness. Channel your unholy powers to manipulate and delve into the lives of those around you and decide who will be your next victim.
Struggle to live with your decisions as your actions will impact on the fate of London. Will you embrace the monster within?

SURVIVE AND EVOLVE

It’s possible to finish the game without harming a single human, but players will struggle to level up their abilities and fight against demonic creatures. Drink human blood and solve investigations to gain experience points to unlock new shadow, instinct, and social abilities via the game’s skill tree system.
Any citizen can be your next victim – use Dr Reid’s Vampyr senses to pin-point weak targets who can be led away from the bustling streets and into a secluded area. Choose to drink just enough blood and your victim will join the Vampyr race or end their life to trigger their last thoughts.

MASTER OF WEAPONS

When your pointy teeth are not enough, players can wield powerful melee and ranged weapons to aid them in conflict. Loot the bodies of victims to gain additional materials to craft improved weapons. Dr Reid’s supernatural powers grant him super strength during combat, as well as the ability to quickly move to nearby locations and control the shadows to surprise his enemies.
Throw foes into the air and strike them with deadly blows – but be sure to drink blood midway through a fight to recharge your powers.

REACTIVE WORLD

The characters you meet and the way you react with them will change the course of history for London, strike up a conversation and choose from multiple dialogue options. With four different endings, who will your story unfold?

YOUR OFFICIAL VAMPYR STEAM KEY GIVES YOU:

  • Semi-open-world with four London districts to explore
  • Gripping narrative filled with suspense and drama
  • Third-person exploration and combat
  • Multiple choice conversations and endings
  • Music by award-nominated French composer Olivier Deriviere

Dark souls meets vampires. Played this a bit on the ps4, now I’ve been craving to play it again. It’s a story I really want to know where it goes.

Very enjoyable game, a great progressive mechanic to evolve into a stronger vampire. The story is interesting enough to play hours and hours for many weeks if taken appreciation to the game.

If you're like me, you have a massive itch for vampire the masquerade bloodlines' sequel and while this isn't anywhere near as good as vtmb and the finak plot twist is a bit lame, the story is pretty good, the combat is derivative of Bloodborne but FAR worse, still, the feeling of learning about your potential victims and deciding who to eat depending on their morality and general behaviour is pretty fun

Slow and plodding but a worthwhile experience.

Slow and atmospheric, this one's less about the important choices no matter how much the game builds around them and more about the environment. The look and feel of the game and its sound is wonderful for immersing yourself in a place you really don't want to be. Grimy and violent and emotional with terrific voice acting. The combat feels nice but what I enjoyed most was the minor investigation elements, looking for clues with speech checks. If it weren't for a good amount of nitpicks like the backtracking, lack of travel options, hard punishments for choices you regret making and a faster pace, I'd be able to recommend this to more people. But, as it stands, it's a great experience that I feel more people should check out.
