Save the universe
A deadly plague has been unleashed and is decimating worlds. Called The Bloom it seems unstoppable — but you and your merry band of Grey Knights aren’t the type to turn away from a challenge.
Customise your troops
Make your Grey Knights squad truly your own, as you unlock more than just skills and equipment. Change their armour, faces, and even voices as you build up your ideal force against the deadly Bloom.
Defeat mutating monsters
The Bloom corrupts worlds that it touches, including the inhabitants of them. Deal with deadly hazards, defeat manic cultists, and adapt in ever-changing battles against the infamous Death Guard Chaos Space Marines as they mutate into towering foes.

So far the game has been pretty solid. Definite XCom vibes, but with a more aggro approach. It's ok to get hit a few times and the Justicar can soak up a lot of damage. The different classes are pretty unique and work together well.

Instantly reminded me of the original Chaos Gate from 1998. The game is beautiful, follows Warhammer 40k ascetics and lore. It has a lot of nooks and crannies, the learning curve is not to steep but also the game is not easy. From time to time, the missions repeat themselves a bit too much and sometimes you get the filing you are playing the same mission objective for hours. Other then that, a very good blast from the past!

A very interesting and challenging game. My only gripe is that if you do not actually study and read up on the progression of the game, it can punish you quite severly mid game (especially with which advancements you take on your vessel).

Pretty much if Warhammer 40k and xcom smushed then never called each other again. Some interesting tactical choices and good design but playing as 4 gray knights over and over on search and destroy missions can be repetitive. Good tactical options but gear progress feels really fast or not as satisfying.
