About Yakuza Kiwami 2

About this game

Join the legendary Dragon of Dojima as he returns to the fight in action-adventure Yakuza Kiwami 2, now on Steam PC for the first time!

With this Steam game, players will follow Kazuma Kiryu's journey as he travels to Sotenbori, Osaka to broker peace between the rival clans - after the assassination of Yukio Terada, the Fifth Chairman of the Tojo Clan.

CAN YOU RESTORE PEACE?
A single gunshot has shattered the peace between the clans, and war is on the horizon. Having built a peaceful life away from conflict while caring for young Haruka Sawamura, Kiryu is pulled back into the world he wanted to leave behind.

Ryuji Goda, known as the Dragon of Kansai, will stop at nothing to get his war. In this world, there can only be one dragon!

DRAGON FURY
Send clan thugs and street brawlers packing with explosive hand-to-hand combat. Use Kiryu's inner 'Dragon' style combat (used in Yakuza 0) to take down multiple enemies.

Fill up your Heat Action gauge to unleash ultimate attacks that increase your power, speed and durability!

THE 4K TREATMENT
Rebuilt from the ground up, SEGA has enhanced Yakuza Kiwami 2's visual representation and playstyle by using the Dragon Engine, evolving one of the series' stand-out titles into a modern classic. Enjoy glorious 4K resolution, unlocked framerates, customizable controls and robust graphics options.

SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING NEW
Play fan-favorite mini-games including updated versions of the Cabaret Club simulator (Yakuza 0) and the Clan Creator from Yakuza 6, which now includes New Japan Pro Wrestling stars Keiji Mutoh, Masahiro Chono, Riki Choshu, Genichiro Tenryu, and Tatsumi Fujinami.

Brand new additions to the game include an arcade port of Virtual On and Virtua Fighter 2, golf bingo and Toylets.

THE MAJIMA WAY
Also new to Kiwami 2 is the 'Majima Saga' which features Goro Majima in his own playable adventure revealing events that occur prior to the game.

Known by many names including the 'Mad Dog of Shimano' and the 'One-Eyed Demon', Majima is a quirky, chaotic character and playing through an epilogue-type story offers yet more hours of exploring and kicking thugs to the curb.

YOUR OFFICIAL YAKUZA KIWAMI 2 STEAM KEY GIVES YOU:

  • Critically-acclaimed console game now for PC gamers
  • Action-adventure with entertaining beat 'em up combat
  • Graphical upgrades including 4k resolution and  unlocked framerates

"A triumphant remake of Yakuza 2, full of fun diversions and featuring one of the series' best stories."
90 / 100
"Sega’s original sequel has received the remake it’s due. The story fumbles in places, but its high points allow it to sit next to Yakuza 0 as the best the series has to offer."
90 / 100
"The way you can tell a critic liked a game is whether or not they’ll go back to it on their own accord when their review is finished. That is exactly what I’m doing with Yakuza...

impeccable addition to the Yakuza series. Fighting as Kiryu is a bit unbalanced as this entry uses the dragon engine (which IMO wasn't perfected until Lost judgement) and features Kiryu fighting against Goda's clan. If you've played at least 2 yakuza games, you owe it yourself to try this one. You have a decent amount of Yakuza plot nonsense and as always an unhealthy amount of minigames and sidequests. It's hard to find a game with so much to do at the price

You can spend most of your time in this game playing a cabaret minigame and still walk out with a great story. The combat is great, the actual narrative is fun with lots of twists and I'm sure this wont be the last Yakuza game you play, your locked in for the whole series at this point.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 is a fantastically remastered version of the original Yakuza 2. It carries on the quality that Yakuza Kiwami presented, and brings back a good entry in the Yakuza series.

Loved Yazuka 0 and Yakuza Kiwami 1, this is as good if not better. If you've played a Yakuza game before well then it's got all you would expect from a Yakuza game. There's more mini games and sub stories to keep you entertained. The cabaret club returns from Yakuza 0, enough said. Combat is different from the other games, now fight styles are gone, but despite what might seem at first as a downgrade I found myself enjoying the game a lot. Honestly I could go on about each point of the game, but because this is a sequel it should be easily summarized like this; If you've played and enjoyed the previous Yakuza games then buy this. If you played and didn't enjoy the previous Yakuza games then don't buy this. And finally if you've never played a Yakuza game then you should be buying either Yakuza Kiwami or Yakuza 0 first.
