About Dying Light 2 Stay Human

About this game

Return to Harran in Dying Light 2 Stay Human from Techland.

A City on the Brink

In the shadow of a virus that brought Harran to its knees two decades ago, The City, one of humanity's last bastions, teeters on the edge of ruin. Its remaining inhabitants, scrambling to survive, have devolved into a new Dark Age. Amidst this chaos, you emerge as a beacon of hope. As a wanderer gifted with extraordinary abilities, you come with a mission to uncover the truth that lies shrouded in your elusive memories, and ultimately, to alter the city's grim fate.

Unleashing the Warrior Within

The City offers a vast multi-tiered playground rife with danger and opportunities. To survive, you must harness your parkour skills and devise a strategic approach to combat, utilizing cunning, traps, and improvised weaponry. As day turns to night, the infected retreat from the sunlight, taking refuge in their dark dwellings. This diurnal rhythm presents an ever-shifting landscape of risk and reward, perfect for the adventurous soul.

Deciding the Destiny

Every action you undertake shapes the city's future, creating a unique narrative landscape dotted with the fallout of your decisions. This delicate balance of power, set amidst a burgeoning conflict, is yours to influence. Further, the experience is not a solitary one. Engage in cooperative gameplay with up to four players, hosting your own games or joining others, and witness the captivating divergence of choices made in tandem.

Dying Light 2 is definitely not what i was hoping it would be, especially after the masterpiece that is Dying Light 1. The more i play of DL2 the more i appreciate what the devs have created but just doesn't have the same feel or atmosphere as the original. Goes on sale quite often so pick it up when cheap!

I personally did not enjoy this game. It’s certainly a downgrade from the first one. I played maybe 30 minutes and just couldn’t get into it. Sorry fellas maybe Dead Island 2 is better

Fun with friends, as was the first game. The stories in the game seem to be just strange all together with caricatures for characters and terrible writing so far in around 17 hours. The game is not bug free, with disconnections happening in every session, that luckily don't get too much in the way of the fun with a good drop in - drop out -system. Combat is a mixed bag from time to time, with weapon swings having strange arcs that are very hard to connect with anything. Parkouring is fun once you get a few upgrades going and get used to the way it handles. Overall the gameplay is enjoyable enough to warrant playing with friends, but I honestly don't see myself playing the game solo.

Engaging but imperfect

About half way through and it's a pretty vast game. Been a long time since I played the first but DL2 showed me how good the original really was because I cannot say this is clearly better. Speculatively, it might be. The various skills, weapons, parkour, enemies and more is an improvement. The story however is extremely forgettable so far, and there is an insane amount of dialogue for side-quests that are more or less similar activities and stories. I skip all dialogue since the side-quests aren't engaging emotionally. There's also so much looting that hinges on wasting time. The fun part is running from, and killing zombies, which it nails. Only there are so many zombies everywhere that it's almost impossible to not start a chase sequence at night. Overall, it does have me engaged, which is more I could say about Dead Island 2 which I gave up on very quickly.

a lot of people say dying light 1 is better, but they only compare it by story, the story of both games suck and go quick but you dont notice it because you are most likely just doing side quests, but in terms of gameplay? dying light 2 is 99% better and im writing this only half way through DL2 and finished DL1 100%
