Great entry in the Monster Hunter series. Adds a lot more monsters than World did (even in the base game). Lots of quality of life features have been added, as well as new mission types. The only downside is that the graphics are not as nice as in MH World, since this game had to run on the Switch.

Its probably the most mobility based monster hunter in the entire game. Very strong intensity and engagement, ride monsters to strike down your foes. Will say its a bit slow in story progress and grindy if you don't try new weapons.

I would say this teeters between 5 star and 4 star depending on if you've played world or not. this isn't a step down from world, but it's much more arcade like than world, so you may feel like it's not as good as it once was, but if you've played other monster hunter games I think this is worth it, you've got brand new monsters, all the weapons, ok story and a new game mode called "Rampage" which plays a bit like a very hectic tower defence game mode.
It's your classic monster hunter gameplay with all the fixins and newly added DLC but I've not had the opportunity to play it yet, so here's hoping I have enough in the future to try it out!
I would say as always this game is better with friends, it's got a single player story and while you can complete the online missions alone, friends make the game so much more fun, so gather up hunters and head out! don't forget to eat!

either way typical MH game really fun it's nice that the monster's location on map is given just not which one it is when starting off
and the dog is beyond amazing it is not game breaking, but the added speed is nice when looking for; or chasing after Monsters
great game I'm currently MH rank 3 so I haven't seen all the monsters but for MH

It's a classic monster hunter game. Personally for me the single player is the worst part especially the new towerdefense-like Rampage mode. If you have friends and you already played all of Monster Hunter World + Iceborne then get this.
