More than surviving, you'll need to use all the tools available to check your surroundings, read foreign alien scripture, and — most importantly — roast the perfect marshmallow.

Outer Wilds was a game I'd heard of. People suggested it to me - it's beautiful, it's so rich in story and depth, it's such an experience. Reviews told me the same - Game of the Year, awards in multiple categories, and highly recommended.
Outer Wilds was a game I'd passed on, for nearly three years, and probably the first game I truly regret not playing sooner. It's all of the above and more. A science fiction 'story' like no other, that you experience from a truly unique perspective.
I understand why friends who recommended it and reviews that extolled its virtues tended to be somewhat vague on specifics - it's not a game you want to describe in detail to someone, because describing it could damage their experience - not just through spoiling the story, but by defining it and creating expectations.
In short: if you like science fiction, exploration, story-rich games, puzzles, or beautifully crafted worlds, then Outer Wilds is definitely worth your attention. It probably still is, even if you're not interested in those things, because it's really fun.
