This Series and especially this entry has charme and atmosphere you just cannot get from other franchises.
If you're interessted in Jrpgs and Monster Collectors like Pokemon you just cannot skip at least trying it out.
Allthough i wouldnt blame you may have a hard time, if you're new to this series this game can be pretty brutal and due to not the greatest dungeon desing this can be hard to come by.
But in my opinion this game offers more than enough qualities like battle system, story (even though its plotdriven and not character driven so pls dont expect tales of or legend of heroes), the atmosphere and demonsystem outweight its weaknesses by far.

It's a great old style game. If you like RPG mix with puzzles it's that's a experience I recommend. The mix of characters to create new characters with their older power is sometime frustrating, because I will like to have all the powers, but it will not be fair for the enemies, so I understand that the strategy is very important. The option to save you characters stats and ability is very nice. I have pass over 40 hours on it and I still discovering new spells and mix that I did not know. I'm only at 39% of the possibilities so I think it will takes over 100 hours to figure out.

There's a few things amiss, like some content being exclusive to the optional versions of the game, but this is Lucifer's Call for PS2 adapted for play on the pc. Tough, but an amazing game and there's a lot added into it. Just DO NOT play the normal main menu version, instead go for one of the included versions with the labyrinth and additional bosses.
