The Jackbox Party Pack 8

Overall, jackbox has usually 1-2 games in each pack that are worth playing. This one has only one. But (big but here) this is the single best mini game ever released in a jackbox game. Job Job alone is worth the whole price. 4 stars because your'e paying for only 1 good game, but the game itself is 10/10.

Jackbox 8 is a good continuation of the Jackbox Franchise. It has significantly more complex and complicated games than prior entries. The Wheel of enormous proportions, weapons drawn, and poll mine has many more rules than the typical quiplashes and fibbages. But the games are still great and worth learning.

A decent pack of engaging party games. The amount of fun you'll have really depends on how many people you're playing with.

Bought to play while family was visiting and we all really enjoyed it. Genuinely enjoyed all the included games and will be a new staple for game night.

Jackbox Party Packs always seem to be improving, with some reliable games within each. 8 is another installment with mostly unique games included. I hesitated before buying this pack. The friends I play with don't usually like drawing games, and this one has two: Drawful Animate and Weapons Drawn. They also don't like social deduction games, which Weapons Drawn is. I've also watched some streamers play Poll Mine, and they were confused and visibly frustrated. After this went on a large sale, I picked it up and my group was pleasantly surprised. Those concerns were brushed away after a couple of rounds with each game that seemed lackluster to us. We had a lot of fun with them after understanding them, which wasn't a high bar. We were excited for Job Job, as we enjoy Quiplash and this seems to be a crowd-sourced style of that game. The game's limitations are mainly based on what the group is willing to contribute, but there are some minor design issues that are a problem or could have been more entertaining. For example, your crowd-sourced answers to questions are visible and used by other players, but the context is missing - which may be part of the fun of the game to some, but I found disappointing. Poll Mine was also a highlight, as it really made us look around the room of friends to figure out how each of us would answer their ranked polling questions. Wheel of Enormous Proportions was enjoyed by all, but seemed slow for a trivia and random-spin game. Drawful Animate actually had a very good design, which alleviated some of our hesitancy, especially how long we spend drawing. A simple outline of the previous image drawn helps with this. Finally, Weapons Drawn was an interesting game, which we had fun with, but the in-person lying and deduction aspect of it was not enjoyed by all of us. Most games in the packs have started to lean more into the couch-cooperative and social element of the games. While previous games can have you not audibly communicate with other players (with the exception of Bomb Corp in JBPP2), the most recent ones benefit or explicitly require players to discuss or respond more out loud (Talking Points from JBPP7 and Faking It from JBPP3 cannot be played without the player speaking to or looking at every other player). Games in this don't necessarily require that, but Poll Mine and Weapons Drawn really benefit from being in the same room or at least talking and visible to other players. Game is fun, has some nice games like Job-Job in it that are pretty ridiculous all things considered. Would easliy recommend this as a pack like Party Pack 3 or 4 that is an easy recommend
