About Assassin's Creed Odyssey

About this game

Head to Greece in Ubisoft’s Assassin's Creed Odyssey!

Choose Your Warrior

Assassin's Creed Odyssey places you in the shoes of a mercenary during the Peloponnesian War, where you'll get to choose your own fate. Pick between two playable protagonists — Alexios or Kassandra — each with their own unique skill sets, weapons, and equipment. Train under-loved classical figures like Herodotus and Pythagoras as you uncover long-lost secrets that will help you defeat powerful enemies.

Discover The Mediterranean

Sail across the Aegean Sea to discover untapped locations and engage in thrilling naval battles. Board enemy ships and plunder their loot, or dive into sunken ruins to recover priceless artefacts. The game features a large open-world environment that encourages exploration and discovery. Players can traverse the world on foot or by horseback, too!

Get Romantic

It’s not all about killing Romans, players are able to romance non-playable characters of either gender, regardless of which gender the player chooses for their protagonist. The game also contains multiple endings that are determined by the player's choices throughout the course of the game!

Critic Reviews

90 / 100
"Though the main story suffers because of it, Assassin's Creed Odyssey is a remarkably massive RPG held together by a web of satisfying pursuits."
96 / 100
"So as the story unfolds, along with your map and you get into this gathering, parkouring and hunting rhythm here comes the main reason that has me rate Odyssey right up there...
89 / 100
"Honestly, right now I feel like exploring the last corners of Greece as soon as I'm done, after writing the article...And that's always a very good sign for a game."

Assassin's Creed Odyssey Review

Sam Jones
Staff Review
We've travelled to Ancient Egypt with Bayek in Origins, and now it's time to enjoy a brand new adventure through Ancient Greece. The game features many different paths for the player to choose from with a heavy emphasis on action-consequence, as well as the ever-popular RPG elements and enthralling combat mechanics that turns every conflict into an exciting one. From outcast to Legendary Spartan, how will your story unfold?

I loved it. Pace of combat felt great, weapon diversity was excellent, story was engaging, lots of side work to do without it feeling mandatory.

Game starts great, fighting is fun and there's some story in it, but the gameplay gets very repetitive after 20 hours or so.
