About Resident Evil Village

About this game

Developed and published by CAPCOM.

In this eighth major instalment of the Resident Evil franchise, you'll once again take control of Ethan Winters — the protagonist of Resident Evil 7 Biohazard!

No escape

The story takes place a few years after the frightening events of Biohazard. Mia and Ethan are living peacefully in a new location, trying to find a life outside the nightmares they've endured... but you can't escape your past. Not forever.

Everything turns awry as Chris Redfield — a legendary hero from the previous entries — interrupts their peace by kidnapping Mia, leaving Ethan to follow his trail.

Explore the village

The new setting is an empty, eerie, and dangerous village that has been savaged by the newest enemy: werewolves! Despite that, Ethan will have to travel through it, fighting off lycanthropes from himself and the residents he'll meet along the way.

Meet the infamous Lady Dimitrescu

Among a wide cast of sinister characters, you'll meet both friends and foes — including the towering and notorious Lady Dimitrscu!

New multiplayer mode!

Resident Evil Re:Verse is a new online multiplayer mode! Test your mettle in four- to six-person death matches! Play as beloved characters from the franchise, use bioweapons to turn the tides of battle, and when you die, return as an enemy to defeat the remaining survivors.

Steam Deck

Boy, for the price which I got from the store, this is worth it. A great blend of classic survival horror elements and a first-person perspective makes the journey of playing through the game not only nerve-wracking but scary. The puzzles are also fun to do and actually another great feature addition. Overall, I'm now interested in checking out the Winters expansion once I'm done with the main story. RE Village is worth a purchase and a playthrough if you haven't yet.

A visual delight

Hi, everyone! I'm a fan of Resident evil series and a fan of quality zombie scenarios. But in this Village, it's not about the zombies (only) anymore. You'll walk amongst ferocious lycans, vampires, gargoyles... And, of course, the stilysh, but infamous Lady Dimitrescu! The graphics are photorealistically superb, picturing a perfect visual scenario for this fantasy. The gameplay is nice, combining exploration, puzzles, smooth shooting and... shinny treasures! 😁 And crafting loot!😁😁 And guns! 😁😁😁 And even a merchant you can trade, upgrade and... speak with. 😏 Maybe is not perfect... for everyone or for all the fans of the classic RE series. The gameplay can be improved. But i think that RE Village is still an upgrade, one step forward. Maybe i'm a lilltle subjective. 😁 Roumanian lei, roumanian folklore, beautiful (sometimes gorry) roumanian environments and castles! 🙂😏

Resident Evil Village is a fun and very beautiful game. Although it is not at scary as Resident Evil VII, it has great game mechanics. The combat is fluid and fun. I highly recommend it to anyone that is looking for a dark fun action game.
