About Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide

About this game

Gather your party for an epic quest in Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide from Fatshark.

Fight The Rats

Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide is a ground-breaking cooperative action first-person, shooter-melee combat adventure game that immerses the player in the iconic Warhammer Fantasy world. The game takes place in and around Ubersreik, where players take on the roles of one of five stalwart heroes tasked with eradicating the Skaven, a horde of rodent-men. Each hero offers unique play styles, abilities, and personalities, and players must navigate through a myriad of perilous levels teeming with relentless Skaven hordes.

Work In Teams

Teamwork is the cornerstone to survival in Vermintide, and players' ability to quickly respond and work together is continually put to the test. The game accommodates up to four players and features a drop-in, drop-out multiplayer system, ensuring that a full team is always available. Each hero has an extensive arsenal of distinctive weapons, allowing players to tailor their combat style to their gameplay preference.

More Than Just Epic Quests

In addition to the thrill of the quest, Vermintide offers an array of rewards. At the end of each mission, players are given loot dice, which can yield a weapon, a hat, or a trinket. Completing side objectives enhances the quality of the loot dice, providing players with the opportunity to improve their gear and further enhance their gameplay experience.

"Vermintide is a brilliant twist on the Left 4 Dead formula, and deserves much of the same praise heaped on Valve."

CGMagazine

90 / 100
"Vermintide is the best kind of game, then; the kind where whimsy dictates the events, but personal skill influences the outcome. Looking at the overwhelming number of my Steam...

The Escapist

"Vermintide is a great medieval-themed cooperative FPS. Despite being developed by a smaller studio, Vermintide never feels cheaply made."

Only played the game in co-op so far but it's a lot of fun! There are quite a few missions and different playable characters, so you can spend a ton of hours playing this! The missions also offer a good amount of variety. Some are simply a "fight your way through the hordes of enemies and get to this secific point" thing, while in others you have to fight hordes while transporting things from one part of the map to another, etc. I also like how different the characters are, as no matter which way you want to play (be in the frontline and literally slash your way through enemies or be a magician with both a sword and a staff that can shoot fire, be an archer who has to look for ammo every now and again, etc). The graphics and sound are very nice and it's a joy to walk through the maps. Vermintide II is a tad more "organised" and a bit easier to look at (you don't feel so overwhelmed as easily) but the first game is still amazingly well done!
